Difference between end and finish

END AND FINISH 

As you have seen on other occasions, the meaning of end and finish can not be used properly in some cases since the two words mean "the same" but just as there are words that are said the same but mean something else depending on their context , there are other Words that are spelled differently mean the same thing but are used in DIFFERENT CONTEXTS.

Como habrás visto en otras ocasiones, el significado de fin y fin no se puede usar correctamente en algunos casos ya que las dos palabras significan “lo mismo” pero igual hay palabras que se dicen lo mismo pero significan otra cosa dependiendo de su contexto , hay otras palabras que se escriben de manera diferente y significan lo mismo pero se usan en CONTEXTOS DIFERENTES.

FINISH

1. "Finish" is used to talk about finishing an activity that a person performs- "End", no.

- Have you finish ended reading your book?       

Note. If we put a verb before Finish the verb has ing. if verb has ing after Finish it has ed Finished.

 2. "End" It is used when we talk about finishing something NO LONGER WILL HAVE CONTINUITY.

For example:

- I don't know how to end the email. 

- The street ends finishes in a roundabout

- The corner ends there

Note: It has s when the sentence is positive

1. "Finish" se usa para hablar de terminar una actividad que realiza una persona- "End", no.

Es por eso que verá y escuchará "Finish" en oraciones que se refieren a las acciones que realizan las personas.

Por ejemplo:

- Have you finished ended reading your book?       

                                                                

- ¿Terminaste tu bocadillo?

- ¿Terminaste de leer tu libro?

 

Nota. Si la oración esta en pasado se le agrega el ed a Finish o sea Finished

 2. "End" Se utiliza cuando hablamos de terminar algo QUE YA NO TENDRÁ CONTINUIDAD.

Por ejemplo:

- I don't know how to end the email. 

- The street ends finishes in a roundabout

- The corner ends there

 

- No sé cómo terminar el correo electrónico.

- La calle termina en una rotonda

- La esquina termina ahí.

 

Nota: Tiene s cuando la oración es positiva en caso de finish como termina en sh se agrega es por ejemplo finishes.
